Begin your vampiric journey in Volume One, "The Battle of New Orleans," set in antebellum Louisiana, where your reputation is only as good as your skill with a sword or dueling pistol. Volume Two, "The Siege of Vicksburg," continues into the Civil War, at the site of one of the wars most grueling and decisive battles. When a strange vampire seeks to disrupt the Confederate defenses, will you help him, hinder him, or consume him?
In Volume Three, "The Fall of Memphis" (available as an in-app purchase) you find yourself in Memphis, as ex-Confederates loot the public coffers and dismantle the advances of Reconstruction. In Volume Four, "St. Louis, Unreal City," explore the 1904 Worlds Fair, which promises to be the party of the century.
As your character concludes their first century of unlife, they must navigate the waters of industrialization and urbanization. The excesses of capital and rapid industrialization is producing a new class of educated, militant workers who are ready and willing to stand up to the nations elite. Meanwhile, the vestiges of the Confederacy systematically dismantle Reconstruction, while simultaneously pitting European immigrants against the Chinese and the formerly enslaved. And yet, national figures such as JP Morgan and Jay Gould are forcing their will upon St. Louis all the way from New York.
Still, the vampires of the Society must adapt and thrive, caught between centuries of experience and the rapidly changing world around them—a world that would destroy them utterly if they were to be revealed. When one of their number permanently gives into their Beast and begins hunting other vampires, the Society of North America are thrust into disarray, and you must decide what is worth dying for.

One of my favorite "Choice of Games" title. A lot of possibilities. I played at least 10 times the whole story, never bored.
If youre out for some vampire story playing in the ruthless scenario of the american civil war, you should buy it. I dont regret any cent Ive spent for this!
Ive played through the game twice now and Ive got to say that this choice of game is longer, deeper and more varied than any that have come before. Its a choose your own adventure on steroids.
These games are an inovative new direction within this industry, but if I could give them one word of advice it would be not to charge people for the second chapter as that would cause you to lose popularity. Bon chance.

The scenes are okay but they dont follow eachother all the time, meaning poor rhythm and lacking story fluidity.
DIALOGUE IS AWEFUL TO FOLLOW. I had to read characters exchange multiple time to understand. Hey! Maybe it was me right? Although all the other story based games were easy going and I didnt have to fight so hard to stick to the story...
Historicly rich and detailed.. Not that I care if any of this is even true, but well presented.. Kudo!! As for the actual FUN in the game... It took me a little while and multiple try to get into the story... I was at first bored by the story but got around eventually to give myself the full experience from the game, and it worked.
Not perfect, but damn close. Great game!!!

I bought this game Oct 5 2010,Finished it eleven times and I want to screem because part 2 isnt out!! Grrr
Some bad moments
These games are fun, and well designed. The trouble with this one is that its incomplete: it just ends with the news that theres another installment on the way. The Episode 2 mentioned above is a whole new game, for which (presumably) you will have to pay a whole new price. Its infuriating (if youre as cheap as I am) to discover that you paid for half (or a smaller fraction) of a game - and that theres no ending to the story the game tells.
This is yet another in the long line of great CYOA style games. I loved every page of it. My only complaint would be its length, I truly expected at least a few more chapters.
We have been waiting for Part 2 for almost a year now (literally). I wouldnt buy this game because its never updated. The few updates that we have gotten have not added anything important to the story line.

I loved this game... But the fact that you get supah into it and it just stops because it doesnt have the expansion yet... Its honestly flat out frustrating... Part one isnt long enough to truly see youre character change a lot, as well as the settings around you... Please hurry on the update. I know it fakes a very long time... But a year? Thats long even for the most devoted fans of choice of games.
My issue with the Choice of Games is that I feel like Im always waiting for the part two.
